Description

The ACEM Lab [Spatial Music Analysis and Composition Laboratory or Laboratorio de Análisis y Composición Espacial Musical in Spanish] is a project and workspace dedicated to the study of spatial sound in electroacoustic music and the sonic arts. Open to other related practices, its aim is to bring together diverse work in these fields through an interdisciplinary perspective, encompassing musical creation, analysis, dissemination, and education.

Natán Ide is a musician, electric guitarist, acoustic engineer, and holds a Master's degree in Acoustics and Vibrations from the Universidad Austral de Chile. He is currently studying for a Master of Arts with a mention in Music at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He is a lecturer at the Universidad Austral de Chile, where he teaches in Music and Sound Arts. His work focuses on the exploration of spatialised audio and its integration into creative processes linked to composition and performance. He researches how gesture, space, and technology can be articulated in the creation of musical works.
